1. Data controller

The operator of the MEDOX app and the medoxapp.hu website processes your personal data. Contact: info@medoxapp.hu.

2. What data we process

At registration: name, email address, role (owner, shelter, service provider), and optionally town and phone number.

When using the service: your dog's details (name, breed, age, vaccinations), uploaded photographs, and — for lost/found reports — the location of the report and, with your consent, your approximate whereabouts for nearby alerts.

Technical data: device and usage data for operating the service and keeping it secure.

3. Purpose and legal basis of processing

We process the data to operate your account, to provide the services (search, adoption, lost dog alerts, online shop), and to improve the service.

The legal basis for processing is the performance of a contract (providing the service), your consent (e.g. location data, newsletter), and legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention).

4. Data processors and storage

We store and process the data on Google Firebase / Google Cloud infrastructure. We retain the data only for as long as is necessary to provide the service.

5. Your rights

You may at any time request access to the data we hold about you, its rectification or erasure, and the restriction of processing. You can request the deletion of your account and its associated data at info@medoxapp.hu.

You may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH).

6. Cookies

The website uses the essential cookies required for it to function. We do not use third-party tracking cookies without your consent.
